this is the day you wanted to play with your bunny siblings.
I think they were a little scared of you.
I wonder why...
I don't even remember what you two did that day, that left you both so exhausted.
I suspect baby nursed to sleep, a common occurrence, and doggie took his rightful place sleeping next to her.
my two kiddies asleep on a nice, cushy...floor... so peaceful. let the bunnies upstairs and it's a little slice of heaven for me.
my brother and I are super exhausted after a day at the tall ships festival. I have to admit, he was kind of a celebrity. everyone wanted to greet him, pet him, shake his paw. it was really neat being related to a celebrity. I mean, how often do you go somewhere and everyone, total strangers even, want to talk to you and give you a hug?
it was like walking with greatness.
doggie has graduated from his solitary room in the trunk, to sitting next to his best bud and little sister, Baby.
for the most part he did exceptionally well,
once he was leaning over baby to see out her window, but he knew not to step on her.
he also tried to stick his nose underneath the barrier and get mommy's coffee...apparently mommy isn't the only one who likes her coffee extra light, extra sweet.
i can barely remember it myself, but after doggie tried to climb in the tub with you, his assistance during bathtime was no longer necessary.
and here you are, so young, maybe five months old, cruising around in you're convertible.
doggie showing you the ropes, schooling you on all the traffic signals and such...
it's good to have the top down, wind blowing in your face...
doggie,
i like to watch you sleep.
you look so peaceful with your eyes closed.
it makes me want to put my toys on your head.
good night.
love, baby
so...today mommy tried to take you guys on a hike.
when i read "hike", for some reason i didn't think about how stroller friendly it would be...it wasn't.
i don't know that the picture tells the whole story , it was really steep!
so...here's to a day of trying...and not succeeding...but trying...!
we love baby at this age: she's starting to play and sit up, and just started crawling.
and doggie is such a good boy, gentle with the kids, tethered to mommy during our visit...and he even feel asleep in the nursery.
just any night during baby's ninth month, and doggie's twentieth month...this is how they lay, just hanging out, lying on the floor.
family hour.
i started thinking that there ought to be more doggie friendly events around long island...
in an online paper there was a listing for an educational walk through the vineyards with your doggie.
we rounded up some dog club friends and headed out east to long island's vineyards...and it turned out to be FABULOUS!
dogs were more than welcome to your the place, they had horses and pigs, among other animals...and they even had live music playing! this is the type of weekend we'd sign up for in a heartbeat.
love this place!
who says that doggies can't be history buffs?
on this beautiful day, baby and doggie walked around president roosevelt's old house on sagamore hill. the grounds are beautiful, really a great way to enjoy a nature walk or just sit in the sun with a book. when baby feel asleep, that's exactly what i did: read a book recently added to my collection...the topic? places to bring your dog to hike...
yay outside!
